Series Overview
Structural rigidity engineered for demanding weld environments.
The MISA Fixed Type Column and Boom Welding Manipulator series is purpose-built to deliver maximum structural stability for large-scale welding tasks. With the column base permanently anchored to the shop floor, the series eliminates the potential instability inherent in rail-mounted or wheeled alternatives.
This foundation-fixed design provides superior vibration damping and structural rigidity, ensuring the welding torch maintains exceptional path accuracy throughout long seam welds and complex multi-pass operations. It is the preferred configuration for manufacturers operating fixed production stations who demand high repeatability and consistent weld quality.
Ground-Fixed Column
Permanently anchored base eliminates lateral movement and micro-vibrations that compromise weld bead geometry, particularly critical in multi-pass and overlay applications.
Long-Reach Boom Travel
Horizontal boom extension up to 5 m provides access to large-diameter vessels and extended weld seams without repositioning the workpiece.
Process Compatibility
Compatible with SAW, TIG, MIG/MAG, and flux-cored arc welding processes. Structured for integration into automated production lines.
Models & Specifications
Three models. One standard of precision.
All Fixed Type models share a unified 200×200 mm cross slide assembly and a 200 kg boom-end load rating. Select the column height and boom reach to match your workpiece envelope.
| Model | Column Travel (Vertical) | Boom Travel (Horizontal) | Cross Slide | Max End Load | Mount Type |

Series Advantages
Key features of the Fixed Type series.
The ideal solution for manufacturers operating fixed production stations who demand high repeatability, superior weld quality, and long-term industrial reliability.
Discuss Your RequirementsMaximum Structural Stability
Because the column is directly anchored to the factory floor, all potential instability from base movement is eliminated. This makes the Fixed Type series exceptionally well-suited for manufacturing workshops where weld quality tolerances leave no margin for positional drift or vibration.
Load Capacity & Positioning Precision
A standardised 200 kg boom-end load rating across all models accommodates heavy welding heads, wire feeders, and auxiliary tooling. The 200×200 mm cross slide provides fine-axis micro-adjustment, enabling precise torch positioning for medium-to-large workpiece geometries.
Industrial-Grade Design for Continuous Operation
The robust column-and-boom structure is engineered for the long-term, high-frequency duty cycles typical of automated welding production lines. Drive systems, guideways, and control interfaces are specified for uninterrupted industrial use and minimal scheduled maintenance downtime.
Optimised for Fixed Production Stations
Purpose-matched to manufacturers with dedicated, permanent welding bays. The fixed configuration maximises throughput by removing setup variability between shifts, supporting high repeatability and consistent weld quality across production runs.
