Why we need the Welding Rotator ?

When fabricating the same pipe repeatedly it pays to be able to do it at speed. Being able to automatically rotate a welded item is, therefore, a remarkably good idea. Machinery design engineers have already thought about this. They have created welding rotators for many different applications that work by rotating the stock. For example, two huge pieces of metal tubing that will make up a pipeline oftentimes need to be welded together. To do this safely and quickly, the two huge pipes are mounted on the wheels of the welding rotators. The wheels allow the job to be rotated while welding. With this setup, it may be that the pipes can be welded completely with only one pass.

About Column and Boom Welding Manipulator

Column and boom Welding manipulator is generally composed of column, boom, rotary mechanism, trolley and other parts.

Application of welding manipulator: the welding manipulator is a special equipment combined with welding rotators and welding positioners to automatically weld the inner and outer circumferential seams, fillet welds and inner and outer longitudinal seams of components.

It has various structural forms such as fixed, rotary and all position. According to the needs of users, the structure can be selected and various welding machines can be equipped.

Composition principle of welding operator: it is mainly composed of operation device, control device, power source device and process guarantee device.

1、 The operating device includes guide rail, angle adjusting mechanism, vertical guiding mechanism, welding gun clamp and welding gun. The angle adjusting mechanism can make the welding gun rotate positive and negative around the center.

2、 The control device is composed of electrical control system, which can control the working state of welding operator.

3、 The power source device is composed of air cylinder and is driven by air pressure for power transmission.

4、 The process guarantee device is composed of wire guide mechanism, wire guide pipe and wire guide nozzle, which can realize the automatic orientation of welding wire and ensure the welding quality.

Application of welding turntable

The welding turntable is a kind of welding positioner which rotates the weldment around the vertical or inclined axis. It is mainly used for welding, surfacing and cutting of weldments. The welding turntable is mostly driven by DC motor, and the working table is adjustable at constant speed adjust. For large welding rotary table rotating around the vertical axis, support rollers are set under the working table, and assembly operation can also be carried out on the worktable. Some worktables are also made hollow to adapt to the welding of pipes and connecting plates. (in short, as long as it is used for rotary welding, the welding turret can be used, and only the clamping mode of the workpiece needs to be determined.)

We can also supply jaws or chuck with the welding turntable.

Different structures of welding positioner

As welding auxiliary equipment, welding positioner, together with welding rotator and welding manipulator, is called three major machines in welding auxiliary equipment. At present, the manufacturing of welding positioner in our country has been improved day by day, and its application range has become very wide.

The composition and application of welding positioner is mainly to make the workpiece in the best welding position by lifting, rotating and overturning of the worktable. There are many kinds of structural forms, such as side turning, head and tail type, lifting type and double rotation type. It can be matched with welding operation frame to form an automatic welding special machine. It can also be matched with robot to realize automatic welding. At the same time, various special welding positioners can be designed and customized according to the user’s workpiece and process requirements.

The welding seam tracker is composed of welding gun, fastener, front rod, rear rod, bolt, front rod adjusting bolt and positioning bolt. The welding gun is connected with fasteners, and the fasteners are connected with bolts. The front ends of the two rear rods are respectively connected with two front rod adjusting bolts, and the rear end of the rear rod is connected with the bolt on the fastener, and there are positioning bolts on the rear rod, The front end of the front bar is pointed. The tracking error range of the seam tracker is small, the center is corrected, the change of welding parameters is more accurate, the adjustment delay device is stable and reliable; it has the characteristics of single and double pointer weld tracking, which is most suitable for the automatic welding of large diameter thick wall pipe; it changes the original single point tracking to double point tracking, and reduces the observation error range, and has the function of comparing groove width and narrow, Through comparison, the welding parameters can be changed to improve the welding quality.
